Business Operations Manager

The Opportunity

This position is part of the EMEAP Business Operations Team at Abbott Diabetes Care, a division focused on helping people with diabetes manage their health with life-changing products that provide accurate data to drive better-informed decisions.

As the Business Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the stability and availability of all our business platforms, ensuring the best digital experiences for our customers. You will drive the strategic planning of product development and processes that ensures efficient scalability and speed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Executing on EMEAP Digital Operations by shaping, developing, and implementing the ADC CX and SCM strategy and solutions in close alignment with global and local Digital Excellence strategy
  • Identifying, developing, and implementing opportunities for digital innovations with internal and external partners to enable new business capabilities
  • Ensuring the run operation and enhancement of current applications in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
  • Executing requirement definitions and priority setting on a program level and acting as a business partner in large complex programs
  • Being actively involved in innovation and change projects with different functional teams globally, on a regional or country level
  • Building and maintaining strong cooperation with BRM and IT teams, external 3rd parties, and countries
  • Analyzing and improving existing processes and implementing new (smart and lean) processes where appropriate
  • Shaping the current digital infrastructure and IT landscape with delivery partners and developing and improving processes and quality along an omni-channel customer journey

Requirements

  • Postgraduate diploma, university degree, or equivalent
  • Minimum 7 years of work experience in e-commerce, supply chain, and customer experience areas with experience in building and using IT solutions
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in Med. Tech., Pharma, or consumer goods
  • Proven track record in leading internal IT delivery teams and service provider governance
  • Proven project management and organizational skills (classical and agile)
  • Action and solution-oriented team player who takes on accountability
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to document business requirements and qualify and quantify their effects
  • Distinguished business acumen and excellent communication skills
  • Fluent in English (other European languages a plus)
  • Willingness to travel (up to 20%)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree in Engineering, Business Computer Science, Computer Science, or Media. MBA preferred
  • Understanding and mastery of at least 2 of the areas: Supply chain management, Customer experience, E-commerce Solutions
  • Experience in a mass market environment
  • Practical experience in CRM and SCM solutions
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with pragmatic operational execution and delivery, including the coordination of relevant resources
  • Experience in working in international teams
