Sales and Business Development Manager

Main Responsibilities

The selected candidate will be responsible for identifying and developing business opportunities for HV land and submarine cable systems within the defined market(s) with the aim of achieving and/or exceeding defined sales targets.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Proactively leading and participating in tender preparations;
  • Participating in contract negotiations with clients;
  • Implementing defined sales strategies to achieve profitable business;
  • Developing solid relationships with market players;
  • Identifying new revenue streams;
  • Developing and managing regular reports related to tender phase, all relevant sales, market and competitor activity;
  • Analysing and cooperating with the Contract requirements and conditions;
  • Preparing relevant TPA/RAF as per Group requirement;
  • Developing and retaining close and long-term client relationships;

Highlights

The ideal candidate will have a strong business development attitude, with experience in the field to develop and care for existing and new customer accounts. A good understanding of our product portfolio, offering technical support to customers and employees, giving technical guidance on sales presentations and materials, providing detailed product specs, proactively finding technical solutions to client problems and helping sales executives define scope and strategy of projects.

Requirements

  • Experience as a Sales Manager within industry related projects across a range of sectors and customers or alternatively technical background with a clear commercial mindset;
  • Strong business development attitude, with experience in the field to develop and care for existing and new customer accounts;
  • Good communications/marketing skills (front line interface with customers and third parties, comfortable to speak publicly e.g. presentations at seminars, exhibitions, conferences etc.);
  • Language skills: Fluent German. Fluent English;
  • Problem solving and target oriented mentality;
  • Interest to quickly learn and take responsibility;
  • Ability to interact with full organization hierarchy of clients & contractors. Comfortable with all levels up to and including senior management (to CEO level);
  • Experience/attitude in dealing with complex and high value bids and involve internal and external stakeholders from different functions within the Group.
