The Role:

In today's digital landscape, a robust network infrastructure is essential for data management and mission success. As an experienced network engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing the network solutions required to meet the evolving demands of the Department of Defense (DoD).

As a Senior F5 BIG-IP Network Engineer at Booz Allen Hamilton, your expertise will be crucial in the development, deployment, and maintenance of network systems, with a particular focus on F5 BIG-IP technologies. Your contributions will directly support national defense initiatives and enhance our capabilities to counter emerging threats.

Your proficiency in TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, and HTTPS, along with various network protocols, will be instrumental in optimizing operations and facilitating modernization efforts. You will leverage your knowledge of F5 BIG-IP, load balancing, and traffic management to provide strategic guidance to clients on essential projects. Your technical insight and familiarity with industry standards will help shape the future of national security operations.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience managing F5 Appliances in a large-scale IT environment
  • At least 3 years of hands-on experience with F5 BIG-IP LTM and GTM
  • Familiarity with F5 modules, such as ASM or APM
  • Active Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
  • DoD IAM II Certification
  • Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Certification
  • Certification in Global Traffic Manager (GTM) or Local Traffic Manager (LTM)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with automation scripting languages, such as Python or Bash
  • Understanding of U.S. Department of Defense military standards
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline
  • ITIL v4 Foundation Certification

Security Clearance:

Candidates selected for this position will undergo a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; a Secret clearance is mandatory.
