To ensure that our network meets both current and future demands, we are seeking a seasoned network engineer with a deep understanding of F5 BIG-IP technologies.
As a Senior F5 BIG-IP Network Engineer at Booz Allen Hamilton, you will leverage your extensive experience to design, implement, and manage network systems, focusing on F5 BIG-IP solutions that bolster national defense and adapt to emerging threats.
Your expertise in TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, and HTTPS, along with various network protocols, will be invaluable as you enhance client operations and drive modernization efforts. You will utilize your knowledge of F5 BIG-IP, load balancing, and traffic management technologies to provide strategic guidance to clients on mission-critical initiatives. Your technical curiosity and familiarity with industry standards will enable you to contribute significantly to national security objectives.
Key Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience supporting F5 Appliances in a large-scale enterprise IT environment.
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience with F5 BIG-IP LTM and GTM.
- Proficiency with F5 modules, such as ASM or APM.
- Active Secret clearance.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- DoD IAM II Certification.
- Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Certification.
- Certification in Global Traffic Manager (GTM) or Local Traffic Manager (LTM).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with scripting languages like Python or Bash for automation purposes.
- Understanding of U.S. Department of Defense military standards.
- TS/SCI clearance.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline.
- ITIL v4 Foundation Certification.
Security Clearance:
Candidates selected for this position will undergo a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; a Secret clearance is mandatory.
