Role Overview:

Cadence Coalition is seeking a highly skilled and self-motivated F5 BIG-IP Engineer to support a Department of Defense (DoD) organization. This role is stationed OCONUS and involves relocating to a designated international location.

As part of our team, you will collaborate with Network and Systems engineers to configure and sustain BIG-IP F5 systems within a multi-enclave setup. Your responsibilities will include ensuring a secure gateway through route domains, managing F5 firewall (WAF), F5 Application firewall (ASM), and Sec-DNS for global load balancing utilizing F5's GTM, along with implementing access control lists.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the configuration and enhancement of F5 Infrastructure.
  • Provide continuous network support, resolve availability challenges, and optimize the performance of F5 appliances and the overall F5 BIG-IP framework.
  • Participate in the design, planning, and deployment of F5 appliances.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in the management of F5 load balancers.
  • Address break-fix incident requests related to F5 issues and collaborate with system and network administrators to troubleshoot and resolve incidents.

The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and will be able to present concepts and solutions in a professional manner. You will thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment that necessitates teamwork and coordination.

Qualifications Required:

  • Current adjudicated Secret Clearance with the capability to obtain TS/SCI.
  • Professional certification that meets or exceeds DoD IAM II (Security+ or equivalent).
  • Bachelor's degree or 15 years of relevant experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience supporting F5 Appliances in a large-scale IT environment.

Certifications:

CCNP is preferred.

Essential Certifications: Must possess either LTM or GTM certifications.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • ITIL v4 - Foundation certification.
  • Ability to adapt to evolving circumstances and operational demands.
  • Familiarity with Department of Defense Military standards.
