Senior F5 BIG-IP Network Specialist

Position Overview:

In the realm of defense operations, a robust network is paramount for the seamless transfer of data and the successful execution of missions. The challenge lies in ensuring that the network infrastructure evolves in tandem with the organization's needs. We are seeking a seasoned network engineer with the expertise to architect and implement the ideal network solutions tailored for the Department of Defense (DoD).

Your Role:

As a Senior F5 BIG-IP Network Engineer, you will leverage your extensive experience to design, deploy, and sustain network systems, focusing specifically on F5 BIG-IP technologies that bolster national defense and adapt to emerging threats.

Your proficiency in TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, and HTTPS, along with various network protocols, will be essential as you enhance client operations and drive modernization efforts. You will act as a trusted consultant to clients on critical projects, utilizing your knowledge of F5 BIG-IP, load balancing, and traffic management technologies.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience supporting F5 Appliances in a large-scale enterprise IT environment.
  • At least 3 years of hands-on experience with F5 BIG-IP LTM and GTM.
  • Familiarity with F5 modules, such as ASM or APM.
  • Possession of a Secret clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • DoD IAM II Certification.
  • Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Certification.
  • Certification in Global Traffic Manager (GTM) or Local Traffic Manager (LTM).

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with scripting languages like Python or Bash for automation purposes.
  • Understanding of U.S. Department of Defense military standards.
  • TS/SCI clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline.
  • ITIL v4 Foundation Certification.

Clearance Requirements:

Selected candidates will undergo a security investigation and must meet eligibility criteria for access to classified information; a Secret clearance is mandatory.
