Senior Procurement Manager

About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Procurement Manager to join our team at H&Z. As a key member of our procurement department, you will be responsible for implementing consulting projects on site at our international and national customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop effective cost reduction measures and product group optimization plans for the procurement department, utilizing tools such as potential analysis, tender creation, commercial and technical purchasing levers, and make-or-buy decision support.
- Lead the development of our analysts and junior consultants on projects, providing guidance and mentorship to ensure their growth and success.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive procurement initiatives and manage a large number of procurement measures.
Requirements
- A Master's degree from a reputable university, or an MBA or PhD.
- At least 5 years of professional experience in procurement or a related field, preferably with project experience.
- Deep understanding of procurement principles and experience in areas such as category management, commodity group strategies, material cost reduction, negotiations, and supplier days.
- Expert knowledge in one or more indirect or direct product groups, such as raw materials, plastics, electronics, or mechanical parts.
- Fluency in English, German, and possibly another foreign language.
- Strong analytical and systems-oriented thinking, combined with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
