We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled professional to join our team as a Senior Manager for Strategic Materials Procurement. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to optimize our procurement processes and ensure the best possible purchasing conditions for non-ferrous and precious metals.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement a global strategy for procurement of non-ferrous and precious metals, aligning with Siemens' sustainability targets and goals.
- Build and maintain relationships with key suppliers and stakeholders to ensure a stable and sustainable supply chain.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements and optimize procurement processes.
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of market trends and developments in the physical metal market, including copper and other non-ferrous metals.
- Provide expert advice and guidance to internal stakeholders on procurement and sustainability matters.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive sustainability strategy for raw materials, including monitoring and evaluating its efficiency.
- Drive the further digitalization of processes and develop resilient sustainability strategies for the area of responsibility.
- Master's degree in a relevant field, such as business administration, engineering, or materials science.
- Extensive experience in physical metal markets (refining and electrolysis) and sustainability management.
- Strong technical understanding, excellent commodity market knowledge, and broad know-how of relevant procurement and supply processes.
- Professional experience in strategic purchasing within an internationally operating industrial company.
- Previous international experience, intercultural adaptability, and experience working in global teams.
- Proven track record of leading and delivering complex ecosystems and networks within the business and SCM dedicated functions.
- Fluent German and English language skills, both written and spoken.
