About the Role: As a Senior Transport Planning Manager at Amazon TA, you will play a pivotal role in driving and managing the implementation of creative, data-driven change in our organisation. Your key responsibilities will include leading improvement projects and initiatives, utilising strategic thinking to define and implement efficient project plans. You will work closely with senior leadership to establish and prioritise cross-organizational improvement programmes, taking lead on them from start to completion.

As a member of the Surface Transportation Scheduling team, you will contribute significantly to creating an accurate plan for road transportation in the entire EU and UK Linehaul network. The purpose of this team is to develop scalable solutions that determine where, when, and how many trucks will be needed to deliver billions of packages to customers punctually, fast, and at the lowest cost possible. You will drive process improvements, use data and metrics to determine and drive enhancements, and collaborate with various stakeholders including Program Teams, Operations, Supply Chain, Forecasting, Tech, and Science.

Responsibilities:

  • Create innovative short- and long-term solutions using data and research to address broader organisational challenges.
  • Work alongside senior leadership to establish and prioritise cross-organizational improvement programs.
  • Lead strategic initiatives based on organisational priorities and vision.
  • Enhance operational performance and influence change required by stakeholder teams.
  • Collaborate with Tech teams, Applied Science teams to support development of tools, tech solutions required to drive change.
  • Analyse complex data to explain KPIs performance and identify opportunities to achieve higher targets.

Requirements: To excel in this role, you will require a Bachelor's degree, experience in complex problem-solving, working in tight schedules, leading process improvements, and using data and metrics to determine and drive enhancements. Additionally, knowledge of Microsoft Excel at an advanced level, SQL at an intermediate level, and relevant experience in supply chain logistics, e-commerce, or transportation planning are essential.

Compensation & Benefits: We offer a competitive salary of around $150,000 per annum, commensurate with experience.
