About the Role:

Harnham is seeking a highly skilled Director of Business Development to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in delivering and selling market research services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead various market research studies, primarily ad hoc, from start to finish, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • Develop high-quality materials, analyze complex data, report findings, and present to clients, showcasing your expertise and thought leadership.
  • Collaborate with the Operations team to ensure seamless survey programming, fieldwork, and data analysis, driving business growth and client satisfaction.
  • Monitor financial aspects of projects, ensuring they are profitable and aligned with company goals.
  • Manage end-to-end business development, from cold lead generation to debriefing clients, building strong relationships and driving revenue growth.
  • Manage a portfolio of clients, understanding their business issues and developing tailored solutions to meet their needs.
  • Collaborate with the Research team and other departments to maintain a robust new business pipeline, driving growth and expansion.
  • Promote the company's capabilities to new and existing clients, showcasing our expertise and thought leadership in the market research industry.
  • Prepare compelling proposals based on client needs, highlighting the value and benefits of our services.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in quantitative and qualitative research, with a strong track record of delivering high-quality results.
  • Native fluency in the German language, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong knowledge of the German pharmaceutical market, with a deep understanding of the industry's trends and challenges.
  • Ability to understand and address customer needs, developing tailored solutions to meet their business objectives.
  • Strong financial and business acumen, with experience in managing projects and driving revenue growth.
  • Experience with various research methodologies, including survey programming, fieldwork, and data analysis.
  • Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to engage with clients and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ideal candidate will have a strong commercial network within the pharmaceutical industry, with a deep understanding of the market and its players.
