About the Role

As an Area Manager at Amazon Logistik Westfalenhuette GmbH, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our logistics network. Your primary responsibility will be to lead a team of professionals in maintaining a culture of safety and quality, while driving productivity and efficiency across our operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safety and Quality Management: Develop and implement strategies to maintain a safe and healthy work environment, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Productivity and Efficiency: Analyze and optimize processes to improve productivity, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and motivate a team of professionals to achieve operational excellence, providing guidance and support to ensure their success.
  • Process Improvement: Identify areas for improvement and implement changes to streamline processes, reduce waste, and increase efficiency.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams to standardize shift practices, share best practices, and drive operational excellence.
A Day in the Life

As an Area Manager, you will work on a shift pattern at one of our logistics sites, ensuring that operations run smoothly and efficiently. Your main focus will be to own and drive a culture of safety and quality, upholding high standards of performance and productivity.

You will also oversee process improvements within your area, driving implementation and ensuring that changes are effectively communicated to the team. A typical day will be varied, including routine team management, daily operational responsibilities, process improvement, and wide-scale operational contingency tasks.

Amazon Logistik Westfalenhuette GmbH is a leading logistics provider, specializing in the delivery of heavy items, such as furniture and large home appliances. Our team manages the entire service, from supply chain fulfillment to delivery and returns, with a focus on safety, productivity, and innovation.

We have ambitious plans to expand our specialist fulfillment centers and delivery stations across the UK and Europe, and we are looking for talented professionals to join our team and help drive our growth.

Requirements
  • Education: A degree in a relevant field, such as logistics, operations management, or business administration.
  • Experience: Relevant experience in people management, logistics, or operations management, with a proven track record of driving productivity and efficiency.
  • Communication Skills: Advanced proficiency in local language and English, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions, with a strong understanding of business operations and logistics.
