About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Area Manager to join our Logistics Operations team at Amazon Logistik Dortmund GmbH. As an Area Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of professionals in ensuring the smooth operation of our logistics processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Team Management: Lead a team of logistics professionals in achieving business objectives and ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction.
  • Process Improvement: Analyze and implement process improvements to increase productivity, efficiency, and quality of our logistics operations.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, customer service, and supply chain, to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
  • Problem-Solving and Escalation: Identify and resolve operational issues, escalating complex problems to senior management as needed.
  • Performance Metrics and Reporting: Track and analyze key performance metrics, providing regular reports to senior management on operational performance.
About the Team

The Logistics Operations team at Amazon Logistik Dortmund GmbH is responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective movement of goods through our network. As an Area Manager, you will be part of a dynamic and fast-paced team that is dedicated to delivering exceptional customer service and driving business growth.

Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in logistics operations, supply chain management, or a related field.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team. Proficiency in MS Office, with experience in data analysis and process improvement.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in a similar role: Previous experience as an Area Manager or in a similar leadership role in logistics operations.
  • Logistics industry knowledge: In-depth knowledge of logistics operations, including transportation management, warehousing, and inventory management.
  • Language skills: Fluency in German and English, with the ability to communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
