Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Research Scientist to join our team. As a Senior Research Scientist, you will work on a two-year project focused on numerical ocean modeling. Your primary responsibilities will include diagnosing and quantifying numerical mixing in global and regional ocean circulation models, identifying its impact on energy transfers, and suggesting solutions to mitigate its effects.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Completed PhD in physical oceanography, meteorology, physics, applied mathematics or related fields
  • Advanced computer literacy and programming skills, including experience with FORTRAN and PYTHON codes in a UNIX/LINUX environment
  • Experience with numerical modeling and large data sets
  • Excellent English language skills and ability to communicate complex ideas effectively
