Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Category Manager Food to join our team at WBG Pooling GmbH & Co. KG. As a Category Manager Food, you will play a key role in expanding sales in Italy and driving business growth in the food sector.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Research and Acquire New Business Partnerships: Identify and establish relationships with companies in the food sector, including producers, processors, and retailers.
  • Develop and Maintain Business Relationships: Foster strong relationships with existing business partners to increase sales and drive growth.
  • Regional and Cross-Sector Cross-Selling: Identify opportunities to sell our services across different regions and sectors within the food industry.
  • Evaluate Customer Requirements and Formulate Solutions: Analyze customer needs and develop tailored solutions to meet their requirements.
  • Presentation and Active Sales: Present our services to potential customers and actively sell our solutions to drive business growth.
  • Development and Implementation of Sales and Marketing Campaigns: Develop and execute industry-specific sales and marketing campaigns to promote our services.
  • Creation and Processing of Individual Offers: Create and process customized offers for customers, taking ownership of results.
  • Market and Customer Analysis: Conduct market and customer research to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Trade Fair and Event Attendance: Attend and organize trade fairs, congresses, and conferences to promote our services and build relationships.
  • Report Preparation: Prepare regular reports to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
Requirements:
  • Completed Training and Professional Experience: A combination of formal education and relevant work experience in the food sector.
  • Relevant Professional Experience in Sales: Proven sales experience, preferably in the meat and meat processing industry.
  • Experience in the Production or Processing of Food and Retail: A strong advantage, with experience in the production or processing of food and retail.
  • Good Active Network in the Food Sector: A well-established network of contacts in the food sector.
  • Confident Handling of MS Office: Proficient in using MS Office applications.
  • Willingness to Travel: Willingness to travel approximately 50% of the time.
  • Language Skills: Very good Italian and good written and spoken English skills, with other European languages an advantage.
  • Strong Communication and Negotiation Skills: Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Problem-Solving Skills and Sense of Responsibility: Strong problem-solving skills and a high level of commitment.
