Field Service Representative

About the Role:

The Field Service Representative plays a critical role in maintaining the integrity of the CSA registered mark by conducting factory inspections and ensuring ongoing conformity of products bearing the CSA Mark.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct factory inspections at CSA authorized factories (remote and on-site) to verify compliance with applicable standards and certification reports.
  • Prepare detailed inspection reports, including quality control and testing documentation, to document findings and ensure accuracy.
  • Review previous inspection reports to determine if previous deviations have been corrected and take corrective action as necessary.
  • Maintain contact with clients through regular follow-ups, providing information, and responding to inquiries to ensure satisfaction and build strong relationships.
  • Stay up-to-date on new services available and communicate these to clients as necessary, assisting them with making changes to their records (address, company name, etc.) with CSA.
  • Collaborate with clients to resolve any issues or concerns, utilizing strong conflict resolution skills to handle difficult situations.
  • Utilize technical knowledge to read and interpret engineering drawings and test data, as well as operate calibrated measurement instruments and high-voltage test equipment.
  • Manage multiple inspection files and changing schedules and deadlines with supervision, ensuring timely completion of tasks.
  • Develop and maintain working knowledge of laboratory instrumentation and general laboratory procedures related to factory inspections.
  • Travel as needed and/or with short notice to conduct inspections and meet with clients.
