About the Role:
The Field Service Representative plays a critical role in maintaining the integrity of the CSA registered mark by conducting factory inspections and ensuring ongoing conformity of products bearing the CSA Mark.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct factory inspections at CSA authorized factories (remote and on-site) to verify compliance with applicable standards and certification reports.
- Prepare detailed inspection reports, including quality control and testing documentation, to document findings and ensure accuracy.
- Review previous inspection reports to determine if previous deviations have been corrected and take corrective action as necessary.
- Maintain contact with clients through regular follow-ups, providing information, and responding to inquiries to ensure satisfaction and build strong relationships.
- Stay up-to-date on new services available and communicate these to clients as necessary, assisting them with making changes to their records as needed.
Requirements:
- Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering degree or equivalent experience.
- Licensed Electrician with related experience.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
- 5-7 years' experience in a related industry, with industry-related experience being an asset.
- Ability to work remotely and independently, with strong communication and conflict resolution skills.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and test data, as well as computer skills (word processing, email).
- Usage of calibrated measurement instruments, high voltage test equipment, and hand tools.
- Ability to manage multiple inspection files and changing schedules and deadlines with supervision.
- Working knowledge of laboratory instrumentation and general laboratory procedures.
- Good communication skills in German and English (oral and written), with knowledge of an additional European language (e.g., French or Italian) being a plus.
- Ability to travel as needed and/or with short notice.
