Field Service Representative

Job Summary:

The Field Service Representative maintains the integrity of the CSA registered mark by conducting factory inspections and safeguarding on-going conformity of products bearing the CSA Mark.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct factory inspections at CSA authorized factories (remote and on-site) to ensure compliance with standards and certification requirements.
  • Prepare detailed inspection reports to document findings and recommend corrective actions.
  • Review previous inspection reports to determine if previous deviations have been corrected.
  • Collaborate with clients to provide information and respond to inquiries.
  • Stay up-to-date on new services and communicate these to clients as necessary.

Requirements:

  • Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering degree or equivalent experience.
  • Licensed Electrician with related experience.
  • Strong communication and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and test data.
  • Computer skills and proficiency in using calibrated measurement instruments and high-voltage test equipment.
  • Ability to manage multiple inspection files and changing schedules and deadlines.
  • Working knowledge of laboratory instrumentation and general laboratory procedures.
  • Good communication skills in German and English (oral and written) and knowledge of an additional European language (i.e., French or Italian) is welcome.
  • Ability to travel as needed and/or with short notice.
