About the Role

As a Business Development Specialist, you will play a crucial role in driving revenue growth by managing and nurturing our strategic customer base in the German market. Your key responsibilities will include identifying opportunities to upsell and cross-sell additional products and services within your assigned accounts, as well as proactively managing contract renewals to ensure high renewal rates. Additionally, you will cultivate and develop inbound leads to transform them into new customers.

Key Account Management: You will build and maintain strong relationships with our existing customers to ensure their ongoing satisfaction and loyalty.

• Maximize Account Penetration: Identify opportunities to upsell and cross-sell additional products and services within your assigned customer base.

• Renewal Management: Proactively manage contract renewals, ensuring high renewal rates and identifying opportunities for contract expansion.

• Generate new logos by transforming inbound leads

• Master qualification and value-based selling using Command of the Message strategies.

• Maintain accurate CRM data: accounts, opportunities, pipeline, and forecasts.

• Create engaging sales presentations and demos, focusing on good time management and control of non-selling responsibilities.

• Stay up-to-date on the product roadmap, industry changes, and competitive landscape.

• Provide feedback on market opportunities and trends, contributing to Placetel's long-term SMB strategy in the DACH region.

• Exceptional Customer Service: Act as the primary point of contact for your accounts, ensuring timely resolution of any issues or inquiries.

• Monitor Account Health: Track and analyze key account metrics to identify potential risks and opportunities for growth.

• Collaborate with Internal Teams: Work closely with the Customer Success, Product, and Support teams to ensure a seamless customer experience and address product-related issues.

• Deliver Product Updates and Training: Keep customers informed about new features, updates, and best practices to help them get the most out of our platform.

• Gather Customer Feedback: Collect and relay customer feedback to the Product and Development teams to shape the future of our offerings.

• Represent Placetel at industry events and conferences to strengthen customer relationships and stay informed about industry trends.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should have:

• At least 2-3 years of experience in account management, preferably in a B2B environment.

• Strong focus on customer satisfaction and dedication to building long-term relationships with clients.

• Proactive and strategic mindset to identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling within existing customer bases.

• Excellent communication skills, fluent in English and German.

• Curiosity and ability to ask targeted questions that result in meaningful insights regarding customer pain points and propose impactful solutions.

• Adaptable and coachable approach to adapt and improve as required to achieve potential.

• Organized and detail-oriented skills to manage multiple accounts and tasks simultaneously.
