As an Application Scientist, you will be part of a dynamic team that values performance, quality, and innovation. With a strong focus on customer satisfaction, you will work closely with the sales team and channel partners to provide expert technical support and product demonstrations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Represent Thermo Fisher Scientific in a professional manner, providing exceptional customer service and support.
  • Conduct product presentations, test measurements, and develop solutions for non-standard applications in FTIR, Raman, and NIR.
  • Collaborate with the commercial team to identify opportunities for business development in high-growth markets.
  • Support the sales organization in achieving continuous growth of sales figures through excellent customer support.
  • Share knowledge and best practices with the EMEA applications team.
Requirements:
  • University degree in a science-related field, preferably in Chemistry.
  • Working experience in application support in an industrial B2B environment is highly desired.
  • Alternatively, working experience in the chemical or pharmaceutical industry or laboratory equipment business.
  • Additional experience in business development is an asset.
  • In-depth knowledge of molecular spectroscopy and related applications.
  • Excellent communication skills in German and a second language.
  • Ability to work efficiently with customers and colleagues in challenging situations.
  • Customer-centric, intercultural competence, and a professional demeanor.
  • Eagerness to travel (approx. 25-50%).
  • Valid driver's license.
