About the Role:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Temporary Operations Manager/Project Coordinator to join our team at BioMarin. As a key member of our administrative office staff, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to our commercial organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management:
    • Organize commercial and medical third-party events, BioMarin-organized meetings, and HCP participation in events.
    • Communicate and collaborate with the sales force to realize events.
    • Prepare sponsoring, speaker, consultant, and participant contracts.
    • Coordinate contract development between external parties and our compliance and legal department.
    • Ensure timely implementation of approval processes for event materials (flyers, speaker presentations, invitations, etc.).
    • Manage project budgets and ensure all financial processes are adhered to.
    • Coordinate travel bookings for invited participants.
    • Document compliance requirements and costs.
    • Update an annual event/project overview and related budget.
    • Collaborate with the Compliance department on Transparency Reports and eGrant Agreement letters.
  • Budget Management:
    • Support the Marketing/Product Manager with contract and budget management.
    • Manage the budget for all BASE products in close collaboration with the Accounting Department and Budget Owners to track actuals vs. planned spends and prepare budget forecasts.

Requirements:

  • Completed commercial or comparable training.
  • At least 2 years of professional experience in office or project management/team assistance.
  • Fluent in German and English (spoken and written).
  • Strong self-organization, ability to multitask.
  • High learning ability and flexibility.
  • Strong talent in solution-oriented work.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Strong ability to work as a team.
  • Confident handling of MS Office applications.
  • Experience in event management is an advantage.
  • Technical affinity is an advantage.
  • Experience with pharmaceutical transparency/local codes and contracts is an advantage.
  • Medical background knowledge is an advantage.
