Senior ESG Strategy Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior ESG Strategy Specialist to join our international team at Deutsche Börse Group. As a key member of our CEO Division, you will play a crucial role in driving our sustainable strategy and shaping the future of financial systems.
Key Responsibilities- ESG Trend Identification and Evaluation: Identify and evaluate ESG trends and regulatory requirements to inform our sustainable strategy.
- Sustainability Strategy Development: Develop and implement our sustainability strategy and climate strategy in line with our ESG framework.
- ESG Activity Advancement: Advance and monitor ESG activities at the Group level, including climate strategy-related KPIs and reduction measures to achieve our Net Zero ambition.
- Process Optimization: Develop and optimize material ESG processes, including materiality analysis, value chain, and opportunity management.
- Reporting and Presentations: Prepare ESG reporting for executive management decision processes and board-related presentations.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and sustainability matters.
- ESG Ratings: Coordinate ESG ratings relevant for Deutsche Börse's executive remuneration.
- Education: University degree in Business Administration, Sustainability Management, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of professional working experience in the sustainability field in strategic management consulting, auditing, or the financial sector.
- Skills: Experience and knowledge of sustainability strategy development and implementation, carbon management (GHG Protocol, SBTi), corporate due diligence (social impact scans, impact measurement), and awareness of developments in the field, such as corporate sustainability reporting (EU CSRD, TCFD, SASB, GRI).
- Language: Excellent knowledge of German and English in writing and speaking.
