Logistics Operations Supervisor

Position Summary:
The Warehouse Operations Manager is pivotal in overseeing the complete operational team within the warehouse. This role entails full accountability for warehouse activities and quality assurance. You will mentor and guide your team towards achieving daily targets while evaluating performance and the development of key performance indicators (KPIs). Continuous improvement of operational processes is a core focus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Effectively manage warehouse operations in alignment with the company's policies and strategic vision.
- Provide robust leadership to the warehousing team, cultivating a culture of responsibility, teamwork, and ongoing enhancement.
- Establish and uphold best practices in inventory oversight, order processing, and shipping/receiving operations.
- Optimize space utilization and consistently enhance operational efficiency based on KPI assessments.
- Oversee stock management and ensure alignment with data management systems.
- Collaborate with international logistics and service teams, negotiating terms with freight forwarders.
- Design work schedules, delegate tasks appropriately, and evaluate outcomes.
- Recruit, train, and inspire team members, and prepare annual plans regarding budget and workforce.
- Manage requirements for temporary staffing agencies.
- Lead a team of approximately [insert number] individuals.
- Regularly generate reports and statistics to assess operational performance and resource utilization.
- Implement strategies to standardize and enhance logistics efficiency in partnership with cross-functional teams.
- Take ownership of inventory management and physical stock audits.

- Utilize expert knowledge to address common business challenges.
Qualifications:
- At least 5 years of experience in logistics or warehouse management.
- In-depth knowledge of warehouse management practices, software systems, and industry standards.
- Fluency in both German and English.
- Demonstrated success in implementing process improvement strategies.
- Strong understanding of warehousing KPIs, objectives, and key results.
- Exceptional communication and decision-making skills, with a focus on empathy and effective leadership.
- Comprehensive understanding of business operations and interdepartmental dependencies.
- Experience with Warehouse Management Systems.
