About The Role:
As the Warehouse Operations Manager, you will oversee the entire operational team within the warehouse. You will be fully accountable for the management of warehouse operations and quality assurance. Your role involves coaching and guiding your team to meet daily targets while tracking performance and developing key performance indicators (KPIs). You will continuously seek ways to enhance existing processes.
Your Responsibilities:
- Strategically oversee warehouse operations in alignment with the company's policies and vision.
- Provide effective leadership to the warehousing team, promoting a culture of accountability, teamwork, and ongoing improvement.
- Establish and uphold best practices in inventory management, order processing, and shipping/receiving operations.
- Optimize space utilization and consistently enhance operational efficiency based on KPI analysis and management.
- Oversee stock management and ensure reconciliation with the data storage system.
- Collaborate with international logistics and service departments, negotiating terms with freight forwarders.
- Organize work schedules, delegate tasks appropriately, and evaluate outcomes.
- Recruit, train, and inspire employees while preparing annual plans for costs and workforce needs.
- Manage temporary staffing requirements effectively.
- Lead a team of approximately [insert number] individuals.
- Regularly generate reports and statistics to monitor operational performance and resource utilization.
- Implement measures to standardize and enhance logistics efficiency in partnership with cross-functional teams.
- Take ownership of inventory management and physical stock audits.

- Utilize expert knowledge to address common business challenges.
Requirements:
- At least 5 years of experience in logistics or warehouse management.
- In-depth knowledge of warehouse management practices, software systems, and industry best practices.
- Fluency in both German and English.
- Demonstrated ability to drive process improvement initiatives.
- Strong understanding of warehousing KPIs, objectives, and key results.
- Exceptional communication and decision-making skills, with a focus on empathy and effective leadership.
- Comprehensive understanding of the business landscape and the interdependencies between various functions.
- Experience with Warehouse Management Systems is essential.
