Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join our Freight Management team in Germany. The successful candidate will be responsible for the tactical and operational implementation of our transport processes, with a focus on quality and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Optimize and monitor the transport process, with a focus on quality and efficiency
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders
- Coordinate transport activities in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
- Provide management information based on agreed-upon goals and KPIs
- Lead the team in a proactive and engaging management style, in collaboration with the Supervisor
- Report to the Senior Director Freight and Distribution
- Ensure close collaboration between colleagues from Account Management, Customer Service, and Finance
Requirements
- Several years of experience in the industry, with a passion for the field
- Proven experience in freight management, career management, transport management, or a comparable field
- Strong communication and leadership skills - you know how to stay on top of things and always think several steps ahead
- Excellent technical knowledge with a solid background
- Excellent English language skills in writing and speaking
