Position Overview:
The Warehouse Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the entire operational team within the warehouse. This role encompasses full accountability for warehouse functions and quality assurance. You will mentor and guide your team to meet daily goals while tracking performance and the development of key performance indicators (KPIs). Continuous improvement of current operational practices is a primary focus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Effectively manage warehouse operations in alignment with the company's policies and strategic vision.
- Provide robust leadership to the warehouse team, cultivating a culture of responsibility, teamwork, and ongoing enhancement.
- Establish and uphold best practices in inventory oversight, order processing, and shipping/receiving activities.
- Optimize space utilization and consistently enhance operational efficiency through KPI analysis and management.
- Oversee stock management and ensure alignment with data management systems.
- Coordinate with international logistics and service departments, negotiating terms with freight forwarders.
- Design work schedules, delegate tasks appropriately, and evaluate outcomes.
- Recruit, train, and inspire team members, while preparing annual plans for costs and workforce needs.
- Manage requirements for temporary staffing agencies.
- Lead a team of approximately [insert number] individuals.
- Regularly generate reports and statistics to monitor operational performance and resource utilization.
- Implement strategies to standardize and enhance logistics efficiency in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Take ownership of inventory management and physical stock audits.

Qualifications:
- At least 5 years of experience in logistics or warehouse management.

- Fluency in both German and English.
- Demonstrated ability to drive process improvement initiatives.
- Strong understanding of warehousing KPIs, objectives, and key results.
- Exceptional communication and decision-making skills, with a strong sense of empathy and leadership.
- Comprehensive understanding of the business landscape and the interconnections between various functions.
- Experience with Warehouse Management Systems is essential.
