Grid Capacity Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Grid Capacity Specialist to join our team at JD Ross Energy. As a key member of our Grid team, you will play a critical role in identifying and securing grid capacity for our large-scale solar and BESS projects.
Key Responsibilities- Grid Capacity Identification: Identify and qualify grid capacity suitable for PV and BESS projects, ensuring optimal resource allocation and project success.
- Connection Applications: Originate, submit, and manage the process of connection applications, ensuring timely and efficient project delivery.
- Grid Intelligence and Analysis: Gather and analyze existing and future electricity network data to provide valuable insights for new solar developments.
- Grid Operator Engagement: Engage with grid operators on pre-app meetings and budget for the availability of connections for upcoming developments.
- Project Support: Work closely with external grid consultants to support other aspects of the grid connection process, ensuring seamless project execution.
- Application Completion: Complete relevant applications for developments connected to the distribution network, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- SLD Generation: Generate SLDs using Auto Cad, ensuring accurate and efficient project documentation.
- Project Pipeline Management: Manage project pipeline by communicating with grid operators to track progress with development, ensuring timely project delivery.
- Project Ownership: Take ownership of assigned projects, including managing deadlines, multiple project objectives, project timelines, and success criteria for each.
- Technical Experience: At least 3-4 years in a technical role working on electricity projects, including submission of grid connection applications at distribution or transmission level.
- Electrical Engineering Background: Electrical engineering background preferred, with experience in a technical environment and a working knowledge of the Grid Code.
- Project Experience: Ideally working experience in Solar or BESS projects, with a strong understanding of project development and execution.
- Relationship Building: Maintaining working relationships with Grid operators, ensuring effective communication and project success.
