About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Senior Microphysiological Systems Specialist. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for applying cutting-edge in vitro cell models and Organ-on-Chip (OoC) technology to support our project portfolio across various therapeutic indications and platforms.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement advanced in vitro assays for defined applications
  • Provide scientific support for pharmaceutical R&D projects with expertise in Organ-on-Chip (OoC) technology
  • Guide technical staff in developing and implementing advanced in vitro cell models
  • Participate in collaborative projects, including communication with project partners and contract research teams
  • Engage with internal and external scientific communities, including attending conferences and publishing in scientific journals
  • Supervise bachelor's and master's students

What We're Looking For

  • PhD in Tissue Engineering, Biotechnology, or related fields with several years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry
  • Expert knowledge in cell biology, tissue engineering, 3D cell culture techniques, and Organ-on-Chip (OoC) technology
  • Practical experience with microfluidic platforms and complex in vitro cell models
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trusting working relationships and collaborate effectively within a team
  • Creativity, unconventional thinking, initiative, and a willingness to take risks
  • Ability to work independently, design, conduct, and interpret experiments, and engage with new scientific methods
  • Fluent English skills, both spoken and written
