Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Expedient Import Specialist to join our team at LOGISTIC PEOPLE (Deutschland) GmbH. As a key member of our global logistics team, you will be responsible for the operational handling of incoming sea freight shipments, managing customer relationships, and ensuring seamless logistics operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Handling: Manage the receipt, processing, and delivery of incoming sea freight shipments, ensuring timely and accurate handling.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, agents, and other stakeholders to ensure excellent service and communication.
  • Logistics Operations: Coordinate and execute logistics operations, including import customs clearance, freight forwarding, and warehouse management.
  • Dispute Resolution: Investigate and resolve any disputes or issues related to shipments, customers, or logistics operations.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Provide regular reports and analysis on logistics operations, customer satisfaction, and other key performance indicators.

Requirements:

  • Education: Completed apprenticeship or degree in a related field, such as logistics, supply chain management, or international trade.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the logistics or freight forwarding industry.
  • Language Skills: Fluent English language skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers, agents, and other stakeholders.
  • Software Skills: Proficient in using logistics software, such as CargoWise or C1, to manage shipments, track inventory, and analyze data.
  • Soft Skills: Strong communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
