Job Description

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Project Manager to join our team at Giesecke+Devrient. As a key member of our commercial team, you will be responsible for managing complex tenders and offers in the areas of factory solutions, processing, and software projects.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement bid strategies in collaboration with our international bid team
  • Analyse customer requirements and create consolidated project calculations and risk assessments
  • Steer bids through the organisation and ensure timely completion
  • Support the sales department in commercial customer contract negotiations
  • Clarify project-specific issues with specialist departments
  • Comment on third-party contracts or draw up customer contracts
  • Develop back-to-back contract solutions with the purchasing department
  • Ensure correct offer and contract documentation
  • Hand over project responsibility to the operational area after contract conclusion
  • Analyse and optimise bid management processes and tools

Your Profile:

  • Commercial education and degree in international business administration, business administration, or industrial engineering
  • Several years of professional experience in bid management or customer project purchasing for international projects
  • Experience in setting up and negotiating international contracts
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work with multi-cultural, virtual project teams
  • Flexibility, analytical thinking, negotiating skills, and solution-oriented working style
  • Proficiency in Office tools, especially Excel and PowerPoint
  • Business fluency in German, English, and preferably another foreign language
  • Will to travel occasionally for contract negotiations
