Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced MEP Project Manager to join our team at John Sisk and Son. As a key member of our Building Services Department, you will be responsible for the delivery of MEP systems across designated large and multiple smaller scale projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement project plans to ensure timely and within-budget delivery of MEP systems.
  • Lead and motivate a team of MEP professionals to achieve project objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of MEP systems with other building services.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and industry standards.
  • Manage and mitigate project risks, including technical, commercial, and contractual issues.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to project teams to ensure high-quality delivery of MEP systems.
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure compliance with project requirements and company standards.
  • Manage and coordinate with MEP contractors, suppliers, and other third-party vendors.
  • Develop and implement project-specific quality management plans to ensure delivery of high-quality MEP systems.
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting of project progress, including financial, technical, and commercial updates.
  • Develop and maintain project documentation, including project plans, reports, and other relevant documents.
Requirements
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in managing large-scale and complex MEP projects.
  • Relevant academic or technical qualification in mechanical or electrical engineering.
  • Membership of a recognized industry-related professional institution, such as CIBSE or CIOB.
  • IOSH or equivalent health and safety management training.
  • Planning and programming, project management, and live energies/arc flash training.
  • Strong understanding of the MEP supply chain market and dynamics.
  • Professional competence in all phases of large-scale complex projects, including estimating, pre-construction, installation, commissioning, demonstration, and handover.
  • Excellent technical, interpersonal, and commercial skills to deliver large/multiple MEP projects.
  • Strong understanding of health and safety policies and live energy practices.
  • Drive and initiative to identify and follow through on all tasks required for delivery.
  • Articulate and strong communication skills.
  • Ability to motivate and inspire a team of building services staff.
  • Strong organizational skills, taking a methodical and proactive approach.
  • Ability to actively seek ways to share knowledge and mentoring of more junior staff.
