Senior Accountant Group Accounting Specialist

About the Role:

CYBEX GMBH is seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our Group Accounting team. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for preparing consolidated financial statements, performing analytical reviews, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare consolidated financial statements for the EMEA sub-group, including communication with financial auditors and adherence to IFRS and HGB standards.
  • Perform analytical reviews of consolidated financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and trend analysis, and communicate results to single entities.
  • Prepare monthly group reporting for the EMEA sub-group and ensure timely submission.
  • Manage monthly intercompany reconciliations within EMEA and with Goodbaby Group.
  • Collaborate with Group Finance to ensure compliance with accounting standards and implement financial controls.
  • Perform impairment tests for goodwill under IFRS and financial investments under HGB.
  • Improve accounting processes and implement financial controls to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Support Mergers & Acquisitions in the EMEA sub-group and evaluate existing processes for optimization and digitalization.

Requirements:

  • Completed degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a comparable field.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in financial reporting and group accounting, preferably in an international environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of IFRS and HGB standards.
  • Experience in conducting analytical reviews and preparing monthly reports for corporate structures.
  • Strong communication skills to interact with financial auditors, individual entities, and the group finance department.
  • Experience with SAP HANA in financial reporting and management.
  • Fluent in English and German, both written and spoken.
