About the Role:
CyberX GmbH is seeking a highly skilled Accountant General Ledger Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial transactions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform general ledger accounting, ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial transactions
- Conduct regular reconciliations of general ledger accounts and resolve discrepancies
- Post journal entries and maintain the chart of accounts as needed
- Participate in the month-end and year-end close processes for financials
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports for senior management and external stakeholders
- Identify opportunities to streamline group accounting processes, enhance efficiency, and maintain strong internal controls
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business growth and profitability
- Develop and maintain financial models and forecasts to support business decision-making
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or equivalent professional certification preferred
- 2+ years of accounting experience, ideally with a focus/exposure to group accounting or on retail and D2C operations
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- Knowledge of financial reporting standards (IFRS, German GAAP/HGB)
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and organizational abilities
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP) is a plus
- Fluent in German and English
