Avionics Project Leader

We are seeking a driven and seasoned Technical Project Leader to oversee our Avionics and Flight Control project teams. The ideal candidate will be tasked with steering the teams to achieve their objectives within the constraints of time, budget, and quality, leveraging their technical expertise while ensuring real-time visibility into the project's critical path.

Your objectives for this role:

  • Guide a multifaceted technical initiative within a cross-functional team.
  • Deliver all pertinent information and motivate the teams to meet their targets on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards using their technical acumen.
  • Coordinate specific plans with relevant interface partners, program management, and planners from various departments.
  • Monitor risks, tasks, and unresolved issues, formulate mitigation strategies, and assist in eliminating obstacles.
  • Encourage a culture of ongoing improvement by questioning existing practices and suggesting innovative solutions to enhance project timelines and performance.
  • Maintain transparency regarding budget status.
  • Develop the work breakdown structure, capacity planning, and stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Over 5 years of experience in project management, ideally within a technology-focused environment.
  • Significant experience in aircraft development programs, including development processes (e.g., ARP 4754) from pre-development through to production and entry into service.
  • Experience collaborating within cross-functional teams.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Jira, MS Project).
  • Capacity to adapt to changes and prioritize tasks according to evolving business requirements.
  • Proficient in English, both written and spoken.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
