Automotive System Marketing Director IVI: Accelerating Market Leadership

Context

NXP Semiconductors, a leading provider of processing, networking, and power management solutions, is seeking a seasoned professional to drive the company's automotive system marketing efforts for IVI (In-Vehicle Infotainment) systems. As the market leader in the automotive industry, NXP is poised to accelerate its market position by anticipating and responding to emerging trends and technologies.

The automotive market is undergoing a transformative phase, with rapid innovation and adoption of advanced technologies. This presents both opportunities and challenges for NXP's customers, requiring a comprehensive approach to system solution development. The company's strategic objective is to develop system expertise on E/E architecture and Software-Defined Vehicle (SDV), enabling early engagement with automotive OEMs.

Role and Responsibilities

This role has a primary objective to establish and lead the global automotive system activities on IVI for NXP. As part of the central System Marketing organization, the successful candidate will collaborate closely with automotive Product lines and Automotive System engineering to define NXP's IVI system strategy. This will involve leading the System Track IVI and interfacing directly with OEMs and the global ecosystem to position NXP's portfolio in a system context.

The ideal candidate will create a winning IVI strategy for NXP, building expertise at the system level within the company and engaging with OEM advanced engineering teams to offer support on sub-systems where NXP has built expertise. These sub-systems leverage NXP's expertise and portfolio in processing, networking, power distribution, security, and safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and lead the automotive System track on IVI
  • Position NXP as the trusted partner for automotive HW and SW solutions for IVI
  • Define and position the future, differentiated system roadmap at regional OEMs
  • Deliver system value proposition
  • Ensure comprehensive portfolio alignment toward one IVI architecture strategy
  • Engage with OEMs to define POC studies showing the benefits of NXP products – drive development & prototype engagements
  • Manage global SW partners in the IVI domains
  • Map the competitive landscape and create strategy and plan how NXP shall best compete or partner
  • Consolidate global OEM engagement opportunities (DW) and ensure the right engagement & follow up
  • Engage effectively with OEMs to build strong technical and management relationships

Requirements

  • Proven track record in IVI architecture definition and development
  • 15+ years of experience in defining and positioning solutions for the automotive market
  • Strong experience in Business development and engagement with OEMs and Tier-1s
  • Experience in Semiconductors, software, and system solutions that enable car architecture evolution
  • Strong business and technical acumen, customer focus/external orientation
  • Ability to mobilize resources, align internal stakeholders, and lead global partner marketing programs
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills – written and verbal
