Job SummaryWe're seeking a Business Development Manager - Waterbased Coatings to join our team. As a key member of our sales and marketing team, you will be responsible for generating new leads, maintaining industry contacts, and supporting the introduction of new products into the market.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute marketing strategies to generate new leads and maintain a strong network of industry contacts.
- Support the introduction of new waterbased coatings products into the market and provide direct support to customers.
- Conduct market research and contribute to business development strategies for waterbased coatings, including target market penetration, sales revenue, and margins.
- Calculate the business case for new opportunities and gain agreement for required investment.
- Work closely with teams from multiple functions within the business to enhance their understanding and help set clear priorities.
- Monitor and measure activities to ensure they are in line with business aims and propose remedial action where appropriate.
- A related university degree or broad industrial experience.
- A minimum of 5 years of sales/commercial experience in the paper, packaging, or coatings industry.
- Strong influencer and networker with excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Another European language would be an advantage.
- An "Early adopter" with curiosity and passion for emerging technologies.
- Operating in a pragmatic and flexible way combined with technical understanding and entrepreneurial mindset to adapt to changing contexts.
- The ability to think conceptually and strategically about end-to-end solutions.
- Self-motivated, result-oriented, and persistent.
- The willingness to travel.
