Your Role
As a Business Development Manager - Waterbased Coatings, you will be responsible for generating new leads through marketing activities, maintaining a network of industry contacts, and supporting the introduction of new products into the market. You will also conduct market research and contribute to business development strategies for water-based coatings, including target market penetration, sales revenue, and margins.
Your Responsibilities
- Market Analysis and Strategy: Conduct market research and analyze market trends to identify new business opportunities and develop strategies for growth.
- Product Introduction and Customer Support: Support the introduction of new products into the market and provide direct support to customers, especially in new market segments outside of the existing sales network.
- Investment and Business Case: Calculate the business case for new opportunities and gain agreement for required investment.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with teams from multiple functions within the business to enhance their understanding and help set clear priorities.
- Business Development: Monitor and measure activities to ensure they are in line with business aims and propose remedial action where appropriate.
Your Profile
We are looking for a strong influencer and networker with excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. A minimum of 5 years of sales/commercial experience in the paper, packaging, or coatings industry is required. You should be an early adopter with curiosity and passion for emerging technologies and have the ability to think conceptually and strategically about end-to-end solutions.
