Technical Sales Manager for Fine Chemicals and Pharmaceuticals

Geiger Food Ingredients Recruitment & Consult is seeking a seasoned Technical Sales Manager to lead our Fine Chemicals and Pharmaceuticals business unit. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in chemistry or pharmaceutical science and a proven track record of success in sales.
The successful candidate will be responsible for expanding and structuring our Fine Chemicals and Pharmaceuticals business unit, identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, and developing and implementing strategies to penetrate new segments within the industry.
- Conduct market research to identify business opportunities and develop strategies to pursue them.
- Develop and implement sales and marketing plans to penetrate new segments within the industry.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, decision-makers, and influencers in the industry.
- Make contact with potential clients, understand their needs, and tailor solutions to meet those needs.
- Work closely with the Fine Chemicals and Pharmaceuticals Director to ensure seamless collaboration and coordination on projects.
- Liaise with HQ to provide regular updates on the development of the business unit.
- Prepare detailed reports on market trends, competitor activities, and sales performance.
Requirements:
- A bachelor's or master's degree in chemistry or pharmaceutical science or a related discipline.
- A strong understanding of APIs (Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient) development and production processes.
- Results-Driven, demonstrating a track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
- Familiarity with the pharmaceutical market, particularly in the production of APIs.
- Existing network within the chemical pharmaceutical industry is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with customers, understand their needs, and explain the technical aspects of the products in a clear and compelling manner.
- A proactive mindset to take initiative in order to identify and pursue opportunities.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with the existing sales team and other departments within the company.
- Fluency in German. Proficiency in English is often necessary for international business interactions and for internal communication.
