Head of Product Engineering

Mackenzie Stuart is partnering with a renowned agricultural equipment manufacturer to find a technical leader to head up their product engineering team.

Candidates for the position must be willing to relocate to the Northwest of NRW. Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading and inspiring a team of engineers, providing charismatic leadership and fostering excellent communication.
  • Developing and prioritizing product portfolio strategies to align with global business goals.
  • Managing and overseeing the R&D budget for complex product development.
  • Ensuring the successful implementation of existing development programs while driving innovation in agricultural machinery.
  • Taking ownership of talent management and personal development within your team.
  • Collaborating closely with corporate functions while maintaining a hands-on approach to business operations.
  • Providing insights into market trends, competition, and strategies for the green fodder harvesting sector.
  • Maintaining high entrepreneurial freedom and contributing to strategic decisions that shape the future of agriculture.
  • Working internationally and being willing to travel to ensure global coordination and success.

Requirements include:

  • Several years of management experience in R&D, especially with complex products.
  • A degree in mechanical engineering; a doctorate is an advantage.
  • Experience in strategic portfolio management and entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Strong initiative, assertiveness, and a passion for innovation.
  • Enthusiasm for working in an interdisciplinary, innovative, and diverse team environment.
  • A willingness to travel internationally to support global projects and teams.
