HSE Manager for Waste Management

We are seeking a highly skilled HSE Manager for Waste Management to join our team at PAUL HARTMANN AG - Karriere. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for providing expert advice on Health, Safety, and Environmental matters, including conducting audits and compliance monitoring.
Key Responsibilities:- Environmental Compliance: Develop, implement, and maintain environmental management systems to ensure regulatory compliance and continuous improvement.
- Waste Management: Take operative responsibility for local waste management, optimizing processes to meet regulatory and normative compliance.
- Waste Classification and Sorting: Oversee the classification, sorting, packaging, and declaration of waste, including hazardous materials.
- Waste Reduction and Recycling: Develop and implement new concepts for waste sorting, cost allocation, and recycling, aligned with circular economy principles and drive innovation in recycling and resource efficiency.
- Regulatory Implementation: Engage in regulatory implementation, including lobbying efforts for new environmental regulations within the HARTMANN GROUP.
- Waste Management KPIs and Costs: Maintain and analyze waste management KPIs and costs, ensuring transparency and reporting both locally and internationally.
- Sustainability: Monitor life-cycle impacts and implement measures to improve sustainability.
- Relationship Management: Manage relationships with waste management service providers, including contract negotiation, qualification, supervision, and auditing.
- Education and Experience: A degree or vocational training in a related field, with work experience in HSE or waste management.
- Environmental Compliance Experience: Experience in managing environmental compliance, audits, and management systems.
- Additional Qualifications: Additional qualifications such as Waste Management Officer, Hazardous Goods Officer, Immission Control Officer, Environmental/Quality Management Auditor, or Occupational Safety Expert are a plus.
- Skills and Abilities: Proven ability to identify and implement efficiency improvements in waste management and circular economy practices. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills combined with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Language Skills: Fluency in English and German.
