About the Role

At Marktlink, we're seeking a seasoned Business Development Manager to join our team and drive growth in the German market. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for building relationships with entrepreneurs and SMEs, identifying new business opportunities, and developing strategies to support their growth and sale readiness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Network Development: Establish and maintain relationships with local Marktlink subsidiaries, entrepreneurs, and SMEs to attract new business opportunities and support their engagement in Exit Ready projects.
  • Entrepreneur Recruitment: Identify and recruit entrepreneurs for Exit Ready projects, focusing on optimizing companies to be sale-ready and maximizing their valuation.
  • Business Development: Proactively seek out SME-entrepreneurs, engage them in meaningful conversations about business growth, and provide guidance on preparing their business for sale.
  • Strategic Growth: Collaborate with the Business Development Team to develop strategies for the further international growth of Marktlink and Exit Ready.
  • Entrepreneur Support: Help entrepreneurs plan their future, provide guidance during the last phase of entrepreneurship, and support their transition to new business opportunities.
  • Continuous Improvement: Continuously improve and develop business skills, record conversations accurately, and maintain a high level of professionalism.
Requirements
  • Experience: Seasoned candidates with extensive experience working with entrepreneurs and German SME networks are welcome to apply.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage in meaningful conversations with German entrepreneurs and speak their 'language'.
  • Passion for Entrepreneurship: A passion for entrepreneurship, a willingness to continuously improve and develop business, and a full understanding of the German business culture.
  • Language Skills: Fluency in German and a German 'background' are essential.
  • Business Development Track Record: A proven business development track record, with experience working with established entrepreneurs.
  • Availability: Availability to work 4-5 days a week, with extensive travel required.
  • Proactivity: A proactive self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
