Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to join our Central European Business Development team. The successful candidate will be responsible for generating new business opportunities across multiple industry sectors, leveraging existing relationships, and developing strong business relationships that lead to a pipeline of new business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Initiate new business opportunities and leverage existing relationships to drive business growth
  • Develop and maintain strong business relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and partners
  • Deliver personal business targets and contribute to overall new business growth
  • Support the development of bid responses, case studies, customer testimonials, past performance, accreditations, and marketing collateral with content and messaging focused on customer needs
  • Manage prospects/customer enquiries, including opportunity assessment Q&A's, customer updates, and attending customer briefings

Requirements

  • Excellent understanding of logistics industry and supply chain management
  • Broad network across Europe with strong relationships with key stakeholders
  • Ability to nurture and develop relationships with colleagues, clients, and other stakeholders
  • Proven track record of lead generation, project management, and project qualification as well as delivering new business sales
  • Experience in creating and presenting solutions and commercial proposals
  • Motivation to work with existing clients to find extra opportunities and lead continuous improvement projects
  • Good commercial awareness, including finance and negotiation skills
  • Effective communication skills, team spirit, pro-active, and forward-thinking approach
  • Ambition to grow within GXO Logistics (development opportunities available)
