Customs Process Administrator

Maersk is seeking a skilled Customs Process Administrator to join our team. As a key member of our customs services team, you will be responsible for processing customs declarations for imported goods into Germany via sea and air, ensuring compliance with all customs regulations and laws.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensuring compliance with all customs regulations and laws
  • Checking and managing documents required for the import process
  • Checking imported goods for restrictions or prohibitions
  • Ensuring necessary permits and licenses are available
  • Applying for preferential treatment within customs declarations
  • Checking commodity codes with all additional provisions
  • Daily monitoring of process disruptions and delays
  • Compliance with performance and quality guidelines
  • Communicating with customers, suppliers, and customs authorities
Requirements:
  • 2-3 years of proven work experience in customs or forwarder logistics
  • Customs declarant certificate is an asset
  • Knowledge of MS Office and ability to adapt to new customs software
  • English B1 and German B2 language skills
  • Ability to meet customer requirements and deadlines
