Job SummaryWe're seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Finance Operations to join our team. As a key member of our finance team, you'll be responsible for overseeing the accounting and finance operations of our German business, ensuring compliance with German regulations, and providing financial analysis and planning support to the business.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee the accounting and finance operations of our German business, ensuring compliance with German regulations;
- Prepare monthly management accounts and financial analysis, including P&L and BS key items review and budget tracking;
- Manage external audits and lead the preparation of annual statutory financial statements (HGB) for the German entities;
- Interface with other departments and provide advice based on your expertise;
- Drive continuous improvements of our finance and accounting processes and identify opportunities for business improvement;
- Prepare coherent P&L, liquidity, and balance sheet plans in cooperation with the controlling team and the CFO;
- Lead and mentor a team of 2 people;
- Report to our Director of Finance.
- At least 5 years of working experience in the field of finance or accounting;
- Strong technical finance or accounting knowledge and a degree within Finance or Accounting;
- Experience in leading and developing teams;
- Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections;
- Ability to delegate and manage the work of others while maintaining a hands-on operational perspective;
- Very good German and English language skills and an appreciative communication style, both written and spoken.
