We are seeking a highly skilled Category Manager to join our team at Olympus. As a Category Manager for Global Procurement & Sales Practice, you will be responsible for defining global category strategies for GPSP products, including risk management, sourcing, supplier selection, contract negotiation, and management.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement category strategies to drive cost savings and improve supplier performance
- Lead cross-functional teams to negotiate contracts and manage supplier relationships
- Collaborate with global procurement organization to drive continuous improvements in Category Management processes
- Manage and develop an international supply base to meet business needs
- Develop and implement SRM applications to improve supplier performance
Requirements
- Academic degree in Business Administration or similar field
- Minimum of 5 years experience in management of purchasing categories
- Experience in leading and participating on cross-functional and/or global teams
- Experience in developing and implementing category-strategies
- Experience managing and partnering with suppliers and internal stakeholders
- Fluency in written and spoken English
