About the Role
Carnival Maritime GmbH, a part of Carnival Corporation and plc, is seeking a skilled Category Manager to join its team. As a Category Manager, you will be responsible for managing categories and developing supplier and risk management strategies in alignment with the company's corporate brand and sister brands.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement category strategies to achieve cost savings and process improvements.
- Manage sourcing projects, including fact-based gathering, defining a sourcing approach, tendering products, negotiating with suppliers, and finalizing project contracts.
- Ensure the rigorous application of negotiated contracts and return of experience.
- Assess processes and spend in scope and develop optimization opportunities.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders and suppliers to implement category-related savings and process improvement opportunities.
- Coordinate and drive activities performed by Technical Procurement.
About You
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Maritime Engineering, or SCM (Master's degree is a plus).
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience in SCM/Procurement applying 7-steps methodology preferably within the maritime industry.
- Experience in conducting price negotiations and drafting contracts, as well as project and supplier management.
- Technical understanding and excellent analytical skills.
- Hands-on experience working with multiple partners to resolve exceptions and negotiate best alternatives.
- Fluent English, proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office, and good knowledge of maritime purchasing software.
- Confident demeanor, autonomous working, and teamwork capabilities, strong ability to communicate, and high degree of result orientation.
