Procurement Category Manager for Packaging

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Category Manager Verpackung to join our team at Eppendorf. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing procurement strategies for packaging materials.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute procurement strategies for packaging materials, ensuring alignment with commercial objectives.
- Build, manage, and develop a strong supplier portfolio, driving performance and innovation.
- Lead the sourcing, negotiation, and contracting process for packaging materials, ensuring best-in-class terms and conditions.
- Standardize and update contracts, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.
- Develop and implement e-procurement strategies, leveraging technology to drive efficiency and cost savings.
- Conduct market analysis, trend identification, and price development, informing procurement decisions.
- Independently manage sourcing processes, from RFx to contract award and implementation.
- Research, identify, and implement sustainable and innovative solutions, driving business value and reducing environmental impact.
- Collaborate with quality management to conduct supplier audits and annual supplier evaluations.
- Develop and maintain supplier profiles, including business reviews and strategic optimization.
- Provide expert advice to internal stakeholders on procurement-related matters, ensuring regulatory compliance.
About You:
- You hold a degree in a relevant field, such as business or engineering, with a focus on procurement or a related field.
- You have several years of experience in a similar role, preferably in an international company or matrix organization.
- You possess excellent ERP knowledge, including SAP Ariba, and are proficient in MS Office.
- You demonstrate a high level of intercultural competence and are willing to travel.
- You are a skilled negotiator with strong German and English language skills, both written and spoken; additional languages are an asset.
