Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Target Control Specialist to join our team at U.S. Army Europe and Africa. As a Target Control Specialist, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining target control systems, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of live fire training exercises.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain target control systems, including Tower Range Control Station and Portable Handheld Computer
  • Monitor and control target systems during live fire training exercises
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on target systems
  • Collaborate with range personnel and maintenance teams to ensure smooth operation of training exercises
  • Follow safety procedures and protocols to prevent accidents and injuries
Requirements
  • Valid driver's license class C1E
  • English Language Proficiency level A1 and German Language Proficiency level A2
  • 2 years of creditable experience in a related field, including clerical work, computer operations, and maintenance
Working Conditions

This is a temporary full-time position, with a designated duty station at Grafenwoehr. The selected candidate may be reassigned to another duty station within the same works council agency and commuting area of their present duty station.
