Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Target Technician to join our team at U.S. Army Europe and Africa. As a Target Technician, you will be responsible for installing, testing, and maintaining mechanically, electrically, and radio frequency controlled target lifting and moving systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install and test target lifting and moving systems, including mechanically, electrically, and radio frequency controlled systems.
  • Transport, replace, move, and install targets of various sizes and weights, including wood or metal frame targets.
  • Install equipment in the impact area according to a predetermined plan.
  • Test equipment operating functions, including radio frequency operating transmitters, mechanically, manually, or through radio communications with the Range Control Tower.
  • Participate in damage assessment of targets and target lifting equipment during cease fire-down time.
  • Clean and maintain equipment, check and replace cables, batteries, targets, and quickly replaceable parts.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • No specific education required, but applicant must be able to perform duties after technical on-the-job training.
  • Valid driver's license class CE required.
  • German Language Proficiency level B1 required.
Working Conditions
  • Working on weekends and holidays, as well as rotating shift work, is required.
  • Heavy lifting up to 80 lbs is required.
