Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Target System Operator to join our team at U.S. Army Europe and Africa. As a Target System Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining various target systems, including TRACR, LOMAH, and ERETS.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate Tower Range Control Station or Portable Handheld Computer to control target systems during day and night firing.
  • Monitor range exercise activities and maintain communication with training units.
  • Perform target system checks to detect operational faults and coordinate with maintenance and range personnel for corrective actions.
  • Set up computer programs on target control consoles to support unit range scenario training objectives.
  • Print results of each unit's firing activities and maintain radio communications with range personnel and range control personnel.
  • Perform facility sign-on and clearance operations in the absence of the Supervisor and/or Target Maintenance Worker Leader.
  • Load, unload, and move equipment and supplies as operationally required or directed.
  • Charge and discharge Hoffman Simulator and Battle Effect Simulators with various pyrotechnic cartridges.
  • Operate an automotive transport vehicle requiring a Class CE (old Class II) German Drivers License and/or US Government Motor Vehicle Operators Identification Card.
Requirements
  • C-03: No additional experience required.
  • Current employees who do not meet E&T Level I and who are not in the same or similar occupation, must have 2 years of creditable experience that included clerical work in an office or store, working with computers, bookkeeping, making and recording inventories, telephone marketing, arranging for events or as a cashier, etc.
  • Bewerber müssen den Führerschein Klasse C1E besitzen.
  • English Language Proficiency level A1 AND German Language Proficiency level B1 required.
Working Conditions
  • Multiple permanent full-time positions (38.5hrs./week).
  • Working on weekends and holidays as well as rotating shift work required.
  • On-Call duty required.
  • Employee must be able to lift and carry up to 80 lbs.
