Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our team at U.S. Army Europe and Africa. As a Mechanic, you will be responsible for testing, installing, reconditioning, troubleshooting, and repairing electronic, hydraulic, and mechanical malfunctions in target lifting systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Test and repair electronic, hydraulic, and mechanical malfunctions in target lifting systems
  • Use blueprints, wiring diagrams, and maintenance manuals to repair and replace parts
  • Work with complex electronic and mechanical systems, including remote control and switching devices
  • Fabricate and repair sensor cable assemblies
  • Test and repair electrical target systems, including distribution panels, power conditioners, and motor start controls
  • Replace and repair electrical wiring, battery cables, and suppression boards
  • Repair and test hydraulic parts in moving target carriers, stationary target lifting mechanisms, and track assemblies
  • Assemble and install individual thermal heating cables
  • Maintain complete records of preventive and emergency maintenance and test data
Requirements
  • Completed vocational training in the appropriate trade (at least 30 months)
  • 5 years of specialized experience (or equivalent)
  • Ability to perform duties independently
  • German driver's license class B
  • German language proficiency level B2
Working Conditions

Shift work required. Employee must be able to lift and carry up to 60 lbs.
